Creating an Anima LoRA & Comparison with Illustrious / AnimaのLoRA作成&Illustriousとの比較

EN

I’ve been receiving a lot of requests lately to create an "Anima" version.

Since the kohya_ss tool I use for LoRA training recently added support for Anima, I decided to create a test Anima-based LoRA and compare its output with that of the Illustrious-based LoRA.

Impressions

  • While Anima adheres closely to prompts, it tends to result in fixed compositions (perhaps prioritizing the prompt?).

  • Illustrious offers relatively diverse compositions, but because it prioritizes composition, it may sometimes ignore parts of the prompt.

    • In the examples here, the color of the sailor uniform changed, though this occurred infrequently.

    • In this instance, the composition for Illustrious happened to turn out quite similar, but usually, there is a bit more variety.

  • With Anima, the background defaults to pure white unless specified otherwise. Illustrious automatically generates backgrounds similar to its training data or relevant to the tags used.

  • Anima can sometimes produce elements not found in the training data.

    • Examples include the inner gloves worn by Alena; though, it is possible these originate from the base model itself.

    • If you want to achieve what is known as a "faithful reproduction of the original work, down to the finest details," this is likely to be a sticking point.

  • Anima appears to render finer details (this may be due to differences in "quality" tags).

Conclusion: Am I going to create an Anima version?

I thought both versions turned out well, so I’d like to try creating an Anima version of the model in the future.

It is undecided whether I will recreate the existing Illustrious version using Anima. Please be patient and wait for updates.

  • Anima
