The sheepgirl climbs a rusted, skeletal iron scaffold that towers over a deep, shadowed pit within the ruins. She grips the corroded rungs with both hands, her body balanced carefully as she looks down into the darkness below. Her flashlight is held in a steady, downward angle, cutting through the gloom to reveal a busy colony of raccoons scavenging among the rubble at the bottom of the pit. The animals are alert, their masked faces turning upward to stare at the intruder. The scaffold is covered in layers of orange rust and peeling paint, reflecting the harsh decay of the site. The mist swirls around the base of the pit, blurring the line between the ruins and the empty air.
