a dark, moody and cinematic scene. Batman stands knee deep in a flooded Gotham street at night, his long black cape spread wide behind him like enormous bat wings, with dozens of real bats swirling through the air around him. The cowl hides his face except for the narrow, pale white eyes, and his armored suit is scratched, wet and stained with dark red. A broken, tilted bat signal lies half sunk in the water in front of him, casting a flickering, weak light across the ripples. Towering gothic skyscrapers, ruined balconies and stone gargoyles rise on both sides, with a few dim windows glowing orange and thin columns of smoke drifting upward. Heavy rain falls in long, thin streaks, and the sky is a violent mix of black and grey clouds with a huge, blood red moon behind the tallest tower. Low angle, strong silhouette, deep shadows. The palette is black, grey, bone white and crimson, with a brooding, ominous atmosphere.
