90s OVA mecha anime illustration, cel-shaded, crisp confident linework and detailed mechanical rendering. Foreground: a young man standing confidently with one hand on his hip and his other arm tucked around a white flight helmet with a reflective orange visor. Short messy black hair, sharp friendly smile, dark eyebrows. He wears a slate grey-blue flight suit with a bright orange stripe running down each sleeve, chest zip and pockets, a heavy utility belt with olive pouches at the hip, and rounded knee pads with white and red accents. Behind him, towering over the frame, a weathered olive-green bipedal military mech. Chipped and scuffed paint, panel seams and rivets, orange warning stripes on its shoulder pods, glowing orange cockpit vents on the chest, heavy blocky legs with black hydraulic joints and chunky armoured feet, articulated grey metal fingers. Twin cylindrical cannons rise from its shoulders, venting white steam into the air. A small glowing orange optic sits on the upper torso. Background: a wide industrial hangar interior in deep perspective — grey steel walls, yellow guardrails and mezzanine walkways, round ceiling lamps casting cool white light, stacked crates and equipment crates along the walls. Anime key-visual lighting, strong specular highlights on metal, saturated but slightly muted palette, atmospheric haze, high detail, 1990s mechanical design aesthetic.
