Hello world! When I download my first model, how do I open it?

You don't open it, you put the model in your local directory such as:

stable-diffusion-webui\models\Stable-diffusion (it should have txt file saying put checkpoints here if it's your first time)

Then double click webui-user.bat to launch Stable Diffusion webui (website user interface), on the top left you can load your downloaded models.
