About included VAEs for AUTOMATIC1111

Some of the checkpoints i downloaded includes a VAE file.

My question is, if I put them on 'models\VAE', will they work with the models or they need to be on 'models\Stable-diffusion' too?

Hey! So, no, VAE files go in the stable-diffusion-webui/models/VAE folder only, and then you can select them from the VAE drop-down in Settings.

Also, if you want a VAE to be automatically loaded when loading a model, name your VAE the same as the model it's associated with, and choose Automatic in the VAE drop down.

Otherwise just set the VAE manually when changing models.
