How different setups change the results SD creates

Since I heard of AI Art, I always wanted to create such things as I'm not that much of an artist with colored pencils, brushes and all that artistic stuff, but more of a writer. So I went ahead and made a first setup of A1111 (probably the most common SD UI) on my regular computer. The main specs relevant for AI Art are:
Intel Core i5-2400 @ 4x 3.10GHz on CPU
8GB of RAM
GeForce GTX 1050 with 2GB VRAM on the graphics card

It does take quite a while to get images generated with that setup and I could work only with limited resolutions (like 768x512 with HiRes Fix set to 1,5x the size) - but I could ramp up the Batch Count up to 6 in one go, making a grid of 6 images in one generation. As soon as I got to testing out SDXL - the superior SD - I ran into a problem: The computer I mentioned above is too slow for that and I wasn't really satisfied with the quality (although it did manage to get some great results sometimes on the first try!)... So, I went ahead on Black Friday (which was last week) and got myself a gaming laptop with these specs:
Intel Core i5-13420H @ 8x 3.40GHz (with turbo mode enabled up to 4.60GHz) on CPU
16GB of RAM
GeForce RTX 4050 with 6GB VRAM on the graphics card

Although I run only test runs currently, this thing is much quicker and better than my previous setup. So, I'll be posting some results of that over the course of the month ;)
