Frida Betrani is a Canadian actress recognized for her contributions to film and television. Born on July 5, 1965, in Beirut, Lebanon, she relocated to Canada during her childhood, growing up in Montreal, Quebec, before moving to Vancouver, British Columbia. Betrani is an alumna of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. ​

Career Highlights

• Film: Betrani is best known for her role as Zipporah in the 2001 film Last Wedding, which earned her the Vancouver Film Critics Circle award for Best Actress in a Canadian Film. Her other film credits include Prozac Nation (2001) and The Deal (2005). ​

• Television: She portrayed Lya in the television series Stargate SG-1 from 1997 to 2000, appearing in multiple episodes. Additionally, Betrani had roles in series such as Millennium and Da Vinci's Inquest
