J. Robert Oppenheimer

J. Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967) was an American theoretical physicist known as the "father of the atomic bomb." As the leader of the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos during World War II, he led development of the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki ("Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds"). In the 2023 film Oppenheimer, he's played by Cillian Murphy.
