Shounen Zoom (Shigeru) Style for Pony/NoobAI V-Pred

Now available for NoobAI V-Pred!

This DORA is designed to recreate the style of Shounen Zoom by Shigeru. This new version is much better at recreating the style and gives you more control over style elements. It should also have better hands and hopefully fewer phantom limbs. Read the usage notes for each version below. A Hires fix pass is recommended for all versions for best results.

NSFW NOTE: This dataset contains many NSFW images. If you do not want NSFW make sure you actively prompt away from it. Also note that NoobAI tends to age-down characters, so make sure to prompt accordingly to avoid violating the CivitAI TOS when generating NSFW.

All sample images were created directly out of ReForge UI with a Hires Fix pass (I suggest Latent Exact Nearest with ~0.55-0.68 denoise). No inpainting or ADetailer was used.

Now that there is support for DORAs on most generation platforms, all future releases will be in the DORA format. These can be used exactly the same way as a LORA.

Please support the original artist wherever possible so they can continue to produce their art. Without them, LORAs such as these would not be possible.

USAGE NOTES:

For both V7 versions it is recommended to use full 1.0 strength. Both versions use special style tags that were introduced starting in V6:

2020s, 2015s, 2010s - These will denote the era of style to use. "2010s" is almost exclusively watercolor and "2015s" is an intermediate style.

watercolor, textured paper - These tags, used in conjunction with "2010s," should give a unique watercolor shaded style. Note that for V4 and V6, this is tagged as "source_watercolor" For some reason the NoobAI V-pred version is not as good at this style. If you want to generate in this style, I recommend using either the Epsilon or Pony versions.

manga, monochrome, screentones - These tags will create a black and white manga style. This is most effective on the NoobAI version and has mixed results on the Pony version. For Pony, use the "source_manga" tag.

PONY:

When using Pony, no trigger words are needed, but you should add "source_anime" and pick a style era. This DORA was trained on Autism Mix, please use this checkpoint for best results. If you are using a different checkpoint, you may need to use a higher strength to maintain the style.

NoobAI:

The NoobAI V-pred version was trained on NAI V-Pred 1.0 and the epsilon version was trained on NAI Epsilon-pred 1.1-Version. Please use the correct checkpoint for best results. When using the NoobAI version, you should use the trigger word "shounenzoom-style" and an era. It may be helpful to put "2010s" in the negative if not specifically going for that style.

TAGGING NOTES:

v7 tagging:

The latest dataset contains over 500 images (~40% of which are crops/flops).

Score_9/"masterpiece" and score_8/"best quality" are the most recent works by the artist.

Score_7/"good quality" and score_6/"average quality" are generally older works and manga scans.

v6i tagging:

Scores 9 and 8 are the most recent works by the artist.

Scores 6 and 7 start to add some older works using the "source_watercolor" and "2010s" tags.

Score 5 is almost entirely manga scans that provide some extra detail, but can otherwise mess up the image quality (mostly in terms of shading). These are tagged with "source_manga" and some also have an "ai upscaled" tag. It is recommended to not include a "score_5_up" tag, but it may sometimes help with hands.

V4d tagging:

Scores 9 and 8 are the most recent works by the artist that most reflect his current visual style.

Score 7 is mostly sourced from manga scans that were uprezzed using AI. You can prompt for this using "source_manga" and monochrome

Score 6 is mostly the artists earlier works that may be slightly different in style. Lots of these were tagged using "source_watercolor" to reflect his use of watercolor for coloring compared to the current style.
