The Black & White AI-Art Collection for all aesthetics lovers
@ https://civitai.com/collections/1881322
Hello my fellow Civitans and generators -- Do you enjoy beautiful Black & White images?
Today I felt like adding my little pebble to the artistic monuments that have been building up in here for some time now, i.e. the fabulous collections started and curated by @ArtifyAI, @Castr0, @3mcg33, @Snilek, and many more. These help lots of us discover outstanding AI generated images that otherwise would get lost in the sheer flood of dreadful NSFW, plain awful, or simply uninspiring content. Yet we all know this community has lots and lots of extremely talented AI-artists. As ArtifyAI put it, and here I quote his words, "every artist needs some attention and recognition for the time, effort and love he puts into his work."
A few months ago, I started making for myself a collection of Black & White images, sometimes with just a pinch of color, and kept it private, and did not really attend to it that much. But insofar as there does not seem to be any "serious" collection committed to showcasing Black & White art currently running, I figured it might be worth it to make it public. It might help showcase original, elegant, unusual works by AI generators with a taste for that form.
Of course, like any other collection, it will have to get updated on a somewhat regular basis (preferably a couple times a week, as I won't be able to hold up with a daily update), which requires time and care. And like most of us, I have to work full-time and do my chores in order to survive in real life… But hey, I'm willing to give it a try, and if enough of you seem to be interested and if I can manage it all, I'll certainly try to keep it running, at least for a while.
I'll be looking out for the offbeat, the artistic, the eye-catching in Black & White. No offensive content or overly explicit images will be featured, as I usually keep my filters turned on. And it won't particularly be a showcase for my own creations, because I don't do very much B&W, although some may find their way in there, once in a while.
Starting off this with what I gathered over the space of a few months -- so some of the first batch of images have appeared here some time ago, but have come and gone and most lost any chance of ever being looked at again. Perhaps this will help resurrect interest in some of these fine creations.
Of course, your own recommendations are welcome : don't hesitate to drop me a message or comment and suggest images you have created or enjoyed! Help is appreciated!
If you'd care to, please follow this collection and please do react to the images you like! Spread the love. Real people need your support.

I hope you all enjoy this little tribute to a now-bygone (for the most part…) art form, the Black & White Film and Photography. It seems especially poignant today to try and preserve bits and pieces of those memories, be it through AI or any other means, when we see the way Los Angeles and its priceless history is being ravaged by fires at the moment. Our thoughts go out to all those impacted out there. Thank you and happy creations, everyone!

Just read this from friend @Snilek_Robotka, and it's a very useful explanation, so I'm adding it :
Why Don’t I Leave a Notification on All Images?
Unfortunately, Civitai limits the number of comments users can make. Since I can easily add multiple images to the collection in a single day, I sometimes reach that limit, making it impossible to leave a comment for every addition.

It would be wonderful if Civitai introduced a new notification to remedy this problem. Yes!!
