Apocalypse Survivor Series 1

Before I start, I just want to thank you all for participating.

๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™ˆMonkey Business!

To put it simply, this project started as a way for me, as a writer, to engage with the community, farm reactions, find followers, and find friends, as I've been alone for quite some time. My plan seemed pretty simple:

  • 1 bounty per month - Like Apocalypse series X, as well as others TBD

  • 1 article per week - link to bounty, examples, samples, inspiration, etc

  • 3 posts per day to link to articles, bounties, and anything else. These were meant to test timeslots for activity and find the best time to get followers.

However, what I learned was this:

  • My posts are way to long

  • The writing of those articles and posts (well) takes a long time.

  • People want articles about AI generation (duh) and not writing lol

Simply put, I realized that what I need is my own domain, and that's when things started to come together. I was already planning on making a website - So, after posting this "game" (way prematurely I might add) to see if I could follow through on my plan, I inadvertently created myself a little master plan.

๐Ÿ“ŠWhy this matter to you๐Ÿ“š

I don't want you to feel like you've been cheated but, In D&D (which you may or may not be familiar with), we often say that it is better to not run a game at all then it is to run a game that is half-assed, or even a full-assed with no direction.

What I originally intened was to launch a little improvisational roleplay game that I could run to fill the gaps in my 3 posts per day schedule, but the lack of any actual structure or rules or even rewards would no doubt leave people frustrated and wondering what even was the point.

My intention now is to fully develop this, but there is a laundry list of things that I'm developing. Those things move one by one, and this is where it stands.

  • I'd love to play this game with you

  • to launch a discord server where we can play

  • or play it here by posts

  • and play it on X where anyone in the world can see and interact

But they can only happen one by one:

  • Game development is slow because web development must come first

  • Web development is slow because I need the articles

  • and content for people to explore

So really, before I cultivate this into a proper game - I need to cultivate myself and knock a few things off this list! I just got way ahead of myself because I generally do not make plans. I have plans now. ๐Ÿฅท

Onto Commendations

So, there it is. Thanks for reading and submitting. did not mean to lead you on or anything - this just expanded. I don't have the time or energy to make this work right now - but I'd like to give you all a shout-out anyway and give you your commendations.

Ember Nightshade - hidden post

https://civitai.com/user/Heim777 - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/105179
Ember appears to be so stealthy that her post was hidden from me. Coming in like a bat out of hell, I love this this character as well. However, depending on your vampire lore - her own silver staff might just be a problem for her! Blood Magic gives her an interesting way to harm, and Illusions give her a good defense. Traditionally, vampires have a lot of extra baggage to exploit!

RIP - Velvet surely packs some holy hand grenades.

50/50 - Scara & Lydia might just smash. They would be quite the team. Too's celestial counters.

Bounce - Jenna does not fight this one if she knows vampires.

Scara Noire - Fanservice Award

https://civitai.com/user/QuasarBahamut - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/104730

Scara can kill everyone so long as she gets close. She seems fairly weak, defensively, but bio-lab and scorpion imply shenanigans; perhaps an armored carapace? This was vibe check central. My favorite character, but not design, however, a design fitting of the character and trope.

RIP - dies to Lydia and Jenna

50/50 - Moose and Fortune have firearms, but scorpions are fast. Can't kill Ember, might partner.

Bounce - Velvet, same set, no beef. But friendly fire potential adds some unexpected lols.

Velvet Mercy - no award

https://civitai.com/user/QuasarBahamut - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/104729

Velvet is an excellent character. I'm just not sure what to do with her. She's is absolutely looney tunes, and that's my favorite kind of villainess. Fanservice worthy, sure, but not really enough to detract from the potential for horror. Her power seems more geared for a support character, and her weakness makes her as likely to shoot her friends as anybody else.

RIP - dies to almost everyone

50/50 - Too might not see her as an enemy due to his celestial background.

Bounce - Lydia roaches out. She can't touch her, so would never engage.

Moose - The Negan Award

https://civitai.com/user/Prog420ress - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/104018

This award may seem misleading, but this is clearly a man of action. He gets the ball rolling, and he rolls it really well. Moose cheats, for sure, dude has literal Plot Armor style invulnerability, super strength, generic guns, and a strange kind of sex appeal.

RIP - Dies to Scara poison or by turning into a frog by Lydia. Ember drains him out.

50/50 - Too probably wins because he slowly siphons life from people around him.

Bounce - Fortune can't hurt him, he can't hurt her. I assume they Smash. Jenna roaches.

Lydia, The Siren - no award

https://civitai.com/user/Prog420ress - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/105181

Lydia can fly. The entirety of her survival hinged upon whether she runs into Velvet or Too, which she has no reason to engage. However, in a situation where he flight has been removed, like inside the coffee shop, Lydia is likely cooked. Magic requires incantation, as well as Coffee. If she blows her load too soon, she is defenseless. Most likely teleports away.

RIP - dies to Too & Velvet. Celestial stuff cancels her. Jenna pops her easy.

50/50 - Moose could get the drop on her. Fortune too. Ember is a likely ally.

Bounce - roaches out without her magic.

Fortune - Roach Award

https://civitai.com/user/SaintTheet - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/103774

Fortune has a lot going for her, and is probably the most balanced character. She is also smart and self serving enough to simply walk away if things aren't going her way. Kinetic deflection, technically, can deflect any object which has kinetic damage - which I would define as any object in motion, including fists. I would not, however, have it deflect a laser rifle.

RIP - Lydia burns her, Velvet should laser her, Too bleaches her. Ember murders.

50/50 - Moose can technically melee her down. Scara might be too fast.

Bounce - in my head she bounces off Moose. Jenna can't touch her.

Too - Redshirt award

https://civitai.com/user/Pakulalee123 - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/104567

Too is very powerful. Annoyingly so, I would say. Immortality is common place among contestants here. This man is Ichigo Kuosaki power level with the weaknesses of me. His laziness means that he, very likely, has no reason to fight anyone - ever - his lack of purpose means he has no reason to compete. All in all, he is like a Sleeping Dragon - more prone to kill you from annoyance that you've disturbed his dream.

In my head, he shows up, murders everyone John Wick style, then gets popped in the head by Jenna, who can be up to a mile away and smiling to herself.

RIP - Jenna pops him in the head. Lydia sends him down to hell. Scara assassinates him.

50/50 - technically, Moose can't be hurt by his demonic energy, but can be hit celestial.

Bounce - likely everyone except for Lydia because he might hunt demons.

Jenna Marzden - Survivorship Bias

https://civitai.com/user/helst0rm - https://civitai.com/bounties/7633/entries/103084

Beyond a .50 caliber sniper rifle, Jenna's survival comes down to her ability to not be seen, to not pop off until it's time to win, and to not be anywhere near anyone to do it. In any instance where she would lose (which is all of them), she just chooses to not engage - if she can. It's hard not to give her the Roach Award, but my head canon says that everyone fights and she picks off the winner, which is Too.

RIP - this girl dies to everyone, but likely can't be seen.

50/50 - She might get loud for no reason than an itchy trigger finger.

Bounce - She cannot kill Moose, Fortune, or Ember without some kind of buff.

I know I said that I was going to do a writeup, but I can't. I just don't have the time, but will begin to share new games, eventually, within the coming months :D
