Please send bug reports if you have generator timeouts or slow generation times with flux!
My suspicion is that they aware but not sensible to the matter that the high cost and overall slower flux inference paired with the hiccups make a MUCH worse experience compared to faster models.
For like 2 month flux generation is most of the time unusable if you have an active style of working. I regularly end up waiting 12-20 minutes for generations to time out. Over the last 2 days I had 7 generator timeouts summing up to almost 2 hours, for absolutely nothing. It feels extremely frustrating and the best bet is to just not use civit for flux.
Just open a ticket with an job id and add new job ids as comments.
