Today I have passed the point where I’ve been releasing a LoRA a day for 1/3rd the year. Since this lines up with my 99th distinct (not retrain, not v2) LoRA, I’ve decided to celebrate by releasing a second LoRA today, putting me at 100 distinct LoRAs. I’ve also hit 200 uploads on my user profile, but that doesn’t really mean anything because that’s counting LoRAs where I published multiple epoches. Since the public domain thing I intended to make my 100th LoRA can’t be done due to new restrictions (which remain hidden away in a supplementary article while the trainer itself continues to act like they don’t exist) I decided to instead go back to where it all began, so long ago… before time Illustrious, before humanity I started making LoRAs, and make a LoRA for Penny since using her to show off costumes are some of the earliest images I shared. Since there’s already two Illustrious models for her most famous incarnation, I elected to do a different, but still fun, version.
What’s Next?
I’m probably going to wind down the daily LoRA posts. The new restrictions (especially the need to browse twice to see everything/a quarter of my LoRAs being invisible to many users, and the poor communication of the no photos of people in training data thing: I can’t even get an explicit confirmation it was intentional) have really killed my interest. I’ve got one big project I’m finishing up (no big secret what I’ve been working towards completing) and a few smaller things as well as finishing off Pony conversions of everything. After that, bar anything I get a sudden interest in, my plan is to just bank buzz till Auraflow Pony (or some other new tag supporting model) comes out and gets on-site training. Then I’ll convert my most popular models (or, at least, my most popular models without photos of real people in the dataset). Of course, that assumes the credit card companies don’t entirely kill the site before then.
Beyond that
Next month has both my 2 years of Civitai (18th) and 1 year of making LoRAs (27th). I don’t really have any plans or ideas on celebrating either, but I figure I’ll note them. As I do this as a hobby and don’t want my work to get Planet Elder Scrollsed, I’m willing to host my models elsewhere if anyone has any suggestions/requests for places to host besides here and Tensor.
