But hey, now that you're here. I bought 250k buzz with crypto and you can too! Why use crypto? It's just another payment processor I hear you say. Yes, true...but! Their TOS doesn't say anything about celebs. The payment processor is welcoming of the adult entertainment industry and openly advertises to them on their website. Crypto by nature has always been freedom and my GUESS (don't worry everything will turn to shit eventually) is that any crypto payment processor is going to be way more lenient than Visa or Mastercard or Stripe etc.
Really though...
It's not so hard to do this either. The more people who use crypto the more viable of an option it's going to be. With or without a payment processor. Crypto isn't some weird little hobby for techno bro douchebags to inflate their bank accounts while pushing "dogecoin" as a meme. Fuck Elon. Sorry, anyway. So... the hardest part of actually buying Buzz with crypto is signing up for an account on Coinbase. If you're US based and specifically NY based (thanks NY), your only real option is coinbase. The good news is, Coinbase is really nice. They've been around a long time and they've weathered countless storms that have sent other marketplaces (I'm blanking on the actual name of what it's called right now... index? ugh.) scuttling out of NY and the US. It DOES require a photo ID but Coinbase isn't going to share that with anyone and we're not buying illegal drugs so that should be less scary than if you're a black market pirate trying to buy something off silk road.
Buy some coins
Once you're set up with an account on Coinbase, buy some ETH or USD coin. I have a ton of ETH from when I was younger and mined it (not a TON TON, but like 1k worth...or 750 dollars worth now I suppose). I have my account set up to auto buy 20 bucks of BTC a month as I figure i can afford to lose 20$ a month to "gambling money". Anyway get some USD coin as that is what civit recommends as there is no extra fees for trading. Now you're all set to buy some buzz.

or don't. I didn't and it was pretty easy. Open the coinbase app on your phone. Click transfer at the bottom. I used ETH on the Base network. Coinbase scared me by asking if I was SURE Civit accepted ETH on Base. I double checked and yes, they do.
Back on the web (civit's website) - click buy buzz, buy with crypto and a new little popup with a timer will show up. I clicked with amount to change the QR code to the value but this didn't help.
In the app- click the little window in the search bar to bring up the camera and scan the QR code. Click the small arrow under the amount. It will switch from USD to USDC. Carefully! Carefully! Carefully! enter the value if it didn't propagate. Mine did not - something I wish to bring up to civit.
You can add a note - I entered in my username i am honestly not sure WHO the note goes to and said 250k buzz purchase. After that I clicked preview and then send and that was it. A little while later I got my buzz. It wasn't instantly which was scary, but soon I did get it.
Thoughts
Timer - you have 20 minutes to complete your transaction. It took me about a minute and a half, no longer than if I'd paid by CC when I went through it one time. The first time I was writing this guide (I accidentally deleted it like an idiot so now I'm rewriting it after the fact) and it took over twenty minutes. BE CAREFUL. If your QR code expires, i'm not 100% sure but I am pretty sure you'll be out your money if you try and send it.
Ease - It wasn't hard. But it WAS scary. Credit cards give you a sense of security as if something is not entered right you just get a "payment denied" and no money is taken from you. Crypto requires you to pay attention to what you're doing. If you enter the wrong address you're out your money. No one can refund that to you.
Overall - I hope it can take off. People complain about Visa and Mastercard but then will not do anything to foster alternatives. This is the alternative. Use Crypto. Even if it's through a payment processor it's still better than CCBill, Stripe, Mastercard, Visa, etc. But there has to be a market for it or it'll never work.

Even though the 250k buzz option clearly says, "We will give you a bunch of free cosmetics"
I did not receive any. I asked in one of the random updates about it instead of emailing support because that seems like the best course of action. I was first told by a random user that buying buzz doesn't give you any cosmetics. Then Ally sort of backed that up and said they're "working" on getting a buzz flair for buying with crypto. None of this sounds like "a few cosmetics" and I guess buyer beware if this was the reason why you wanted to spend 250 bucks.
