So I've noticed this might be a problem for people so decided to make a qiuck little guide for this.
It's how ADetailer makes disfigured faces with more realistic models because of the increased detail on faces while animated characters come out fine. I also didn't know this for a while, but it's a very easy and quick setting that will help. It is because SDXL and derivatives base generating resolution is 1024x1024 while ADetailers base setting is set for SD 1.5 512x512.
These settings will fix it:
Red bracket (applied resolution) - this is the most important!:
This will tell the checkpoint through ADetailer what resolution to work on, keep these at 1024x1024 even if you're using a different aspect ratio, this is for the checkpoints base work resolution.
Yellow bracket (CFG with adetailer):
I use this between 3-5 with that it will force the prompt less and result in smoother transitions by letting ADetailer do it's magic thing.
Green bracket (Transition range):
This will make the edges even smoother.
These setting can be used with any other model like hands and feet models.
Also with "Inpaint denoising strength" stay between 0,15 - 0,5 (I usually stay on 0,2 - 0,3)
This can go higher if you're using KARRAS scheduler.
