Be careful when you want to collect dataset images from Sketchers United

There's a platform named Sketchers United which is designed to replace the defunct Sony Sketch app. It's a community for amateur artists and creative souls who are looking for a place to grow and find friendship.

However, the problem with that site is that they have a plenty of non-consenting and anti-AI artists there (including implicit ones). In my opinion, it IS disrespectful to use dataset images from an artist who is non-consenting or anti-AI.

Yes, there is an option to link to your Twitter account on there. Twitter is taking images posted there and using it in datasets. It doesn't mean that it's okay to take art from Twitter artists and safely assume it's fine to use, as some Twitter artists may not know about it.

I think it would be better for Sketchers United to have a feature where you can mark images as not to be used for AI datasets. But, one of the admins on there said I thought any image posted there can be used in AI datasets, but let me tell you, I do NOT actually think of that. I just wanted this feature, all because of a built-in option to link to a Twitter account.

I know there are a plenty of anti-AI artists there already, and one of the moderators said AI trainers aren't welcome here (which I believe it depends), but Sketchers United, like I said before, has an option to link to your Twitter account in your profile. That's why I asked for a feature to mark an image as not to be used for AI datasets, because it would make it clearer that a Twitter artist there doesn't actually want their art to be used for AI datasets.

Remember, I do not intend to train anything on images from non-consenting or anti-AI people, because doing so would be disrespectful. If you're non-consenting or anti-AI, please explicitly state it, so I don't accidentally train something on your images.
