Vidu Q1 Reference to Video (R2V) Launch + New Pricing

Today we're excited to announce the official launch of Vidu's new Q1 Reference to Video (R2V) model on Civitai along with lower pricing for Text to Video (T2V) and Image to Video (I2V) Q1 video generations on Civitai and Vidu.

What is R2V?

Unlike regular T2V or I2V models, R2V lets you upload up to seven image references - not just a start or end frame.

This means you can upload characters, scenes, and props to easily build your custom set and then simply add a prompt to let Vidu intelligently blend these references into a visually coherent, highly creative video with impressive consistency and detail. But what does that look like in action?

How do I Get Started?

Vidu

1. Visit Vidu's Reference to Video page at Vidu.com or on the Vidu App.

2. Click "+ Images" and add image references to be used (or click "References" to use Vidu's community assets).
   

3. Add a prompt to guide your video's content and style.

4. Click Create!

Civitai

1. Go to the Generate page on Civitai

2. Click the "Video" tab

3. Pick "Vidu Q1" from the dropdown

4. Click "Reference to Video"

5. Click "Images" and upload up to 7 reference images

6. Add a prompt (optional)
   Tip: if you refer to the images by order uploaded (image1, image2, image3, etc.), you can have more control over the video such as the example below.

7. Pick your desired aspect ratio and movement amplitude (auto generally works well)

8. Click generate!
