I am a Database engineer and Data analyst, Machine Learning Professional and digital artist who is also passionate about to raise awareness on the environmental challenges facing my country Ethiopia using Generative AI (Stable Diffusion). I recently entered into CIVITAI's image generation contest with the subject of wildlife. My goal was to generate through creative prompt images of endangered Ethiopian wildlife that would be both beautiful and thought-provoking. I wanted to show the Stable Diffusion's creative communities and world the incredible diversity of wildlife that Ethiopia is home to, and to highlight the urgent need to protect these species from extinction.
I chose to focus on four endangered Ethiopian wildlife species: Colobus Guereza, Semien (Red Fox), Gelada Baboons, and Walia ibex. Colobus guereza are primates that are found in the forests of Ethiopia and Sudan. They are known for their distinctive black and white fur, and their long tails. Colobus guereza are critically endangered due to habitat loss and hunting. Semien (Red Fox) are foxes that are found in the mountains of Ethiopia. They are the only fox species that is endemic to Ethiopia. Semien (Red Fox) is endangered due to habitat loss and hunting. Gelada baboons are primates that are found in the highlands of Ethiopia. They are known for their unique gelada coat, which is made up of long, shaggy fur. Gelada baboons are vulnerable to extinction due to habitat loss and hunting. Walia ibex are wild goats that are found in the mountains of Ethiopia. They are known for their long, curved horns. Walia ibex are critically endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
I believe that Generative AI in image generation can be a powerful tool for raising awareness about endangered wildlife. By creating realistic and beautiful images of these species, I hope to inspire people to learn more about them and to take action to protect them. I also hope that my images will help to create a sense of connection between people and nature. When we see these animals in their natural habitat, it is easier to understand why we need to protect them.
I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this image generation contest. I believe that it is an important platform for raising awareness about endangered wildlife. I hope that my images will help to make a difference in the fight to save these species.
In addition to the four species mentioned above, there are many other endangered wildlife species that are indigenous to Ethiopia. These include the African Elephant, the Ethiopian wolf, the mountain Nyala, and the Ethiopian Cheetah. All of these species are facing the same threats: habitat loss, hunting, and climate change. It is essential that we take action to protect these species before it is too late.
I believe that Generative AI can play a powerful role in raising awareness about environmental issues. By creating beautiful and thought-provoking images, we can help to connect people with nature and to inspire them to take action. I am committed to using my Prompt Engineering skill to make a difference in the world, and I hope that my images will help to save endangered wildlife in Ethiopia.
