Hey again — just wanted to drop a quick update for those of you following the PromptWaffle project.

The first test mule version is now live on GitHub:
https://github.com/Fablestarexpanse/PromptWaffle
It’s not final. It’s not polished. But it does work — and if you’re the kind of person who likes poking around in weird new tools, I’d love for you to give it a try.
Here’s what’s working in this build:
– Snippets still rule: You can create, tag, color, and drag them into boards as usual. Still the core way to break down and reuse ideas like camera angles, LORAs, or full styles.
– Boards are alive: You can now build and export full prompt boards, and edit them visually in real time. It's fast, and you can see your compiled prompt update as you move things around.
– Folder structure is in: Snippets and boards now live in an actual file system — no more limbo. You can organize projects just like you would with any local folder setup.
– Metadata grabber works: Drop an image in and, if it has metadata, you get your prompt back. No more “what model did I use for this??” spiral.
– Live image display: You can link a folder (like your Comfy output), and PromptWaffle will auto-display the most recent image saved. Great for real-time reference while you build.
Right now it’s Windows-only, runs local, no accounts, no cloud. Just a weird little tool doing weird little things for people who live in the prompt trenches.
I’m still aiming for a fully polished v1 soon, but this version is already usable — and honestly, already saving me a ton of time when I’m messing with prompts at 1AM and trying to stay organized.
If you try it out, let me know what breaks, what’s missing, or what could make it better. I’m still solo on this, so real-world feedback is gold.
Appreciate the support so far — and if this sounds like something you’ve been needing, grab the repo, give it a spin, and yell at me nicely if something’s busted.
Back soon with more updates,
—bt
