Following a DM exchange I had earlier today, I figured it didn't hurt to post a quick CIVITAI PSA (Public Service Announcement). This is for all you artists out there generating images and sharing them with the rest of the community and one simple step you can take to show your appreciation to other artists.
If you've ever checked out 'Buzz Dashboard' there is a section that talks about all the ways you can earn blue buzz
One line in particular says '50 BUZZ For each user that posts an image to your model'.
For the longest time I was confused, because my models always showed the images that people created, but I never noticed any additional blue buzz.
Then one day I finally understood what really needed to happen. I'd like to think I was like most people when I first started using CIVITAI and posted images one of two ways.
Option #1:
Go to 'Create' and then choose 'Post Images'.
Option #2:
You select several images and the click on 'Post'.
Both Option #1 & Option #2 gets your work out to the community, but there is an Option #3 that gives you an opportunity to show others on CIVITAI some love.
Option #3:
Select one of the models you used in the production of your images. Go to that model and scroll down to the Gallery and you'll find an 'Add Post' button. Click this button and then add your images just like normal. Only this time when your images do post, you'll be giving the owner of that model a nice little 50 Buzz tip since this is the process in order for members to receive the extra blue buzz.
Important Note!!!
Adding your own images to your own model doesn't give you any extra buzz and you're only able to pick one model to give the gift to.
In the end, if you like the models others have created consider taking the opportunity to pay it forward and add a post directly to their models. For some artists the extra buzz can mean a lot and give them the opportunity to stockpile buzz and create and release new LoRAs even faster.
