What's wrong with the sorting system on here?

A problem I started to notice is when I looked into browsing followers images I always sort by newest, it usually works actually sorting by newest like minute to last minute , but recently i started to see that when I sort by newest it started of with an image from 2 months ago first then an image from a year ago then an images from 12 hours ago then an image from 2 years ago. It seems instead of actually sorting newest to oldest it, it randomly sort instead of doing its job, dose the same by sort by oldest, sort by reactions, and sort by collections. I hope I'm not the only one seeing this problem. What's wrong with the sorting system on here?
