Welcome to August, folks! It's been a few weeks, so I wanted to provide an update on where things are at and so you know I'm still alive and hard at work.

Competition Registration
Filmmaker registration is now live!
Registering will ensure you/your team receive email updates as things progress and that you will receive access to the free trials and pre-launch resources. While I still plan to post updates here, only registering will get you access to trials and register you for the competition.

Timelines / Sponsor Update
Things are taking a bit longer than anticipated to connect with sponsors (summer holidays!), and a few have expressed concerns around things starting too soon, so we're looking now to launch the contest in October instead of running it through September.
This will allow time to get more sponsors onboard and make sure everything is aligned best for launching things properly. I'll provide more solid dates for everything as soon as I can.
Video Categories
The categories have mostly stayed the same from Season 2, with a few tweaks:
Changes:
The Advertising/Marketing category has the addition of the "Ad Lab" subcategory, where I'm hoping to bring along Brand sponsors offering creative briefs to filmmakers looking to win prizes and connect with future commercial opportunities.
The VFX category has been changed out for the Open Source category - now that there's so many great open source video models and tools, I wanted to put more emphasis on these tools and the companies that support them.
The Social Media category has been updated to include memes. Have fun.
