How to train a Wan 2.1 T2V/I2V LoRA on MimicPC.com

Hi! I needed to rent a cloud GPU to train a Wan 2.1 LoRA with videos since my RTX 3090 can't do that. Perfect time for a tutorial.

Educational posts for something simple like this should be free. I am here to help not cash in on people who just want simple help.

1) Make an account on MimicPC.com and top up your balance.

2) Go to 'add new app' and ctrl + f search for 'Diffusion Pipe' or just 'pipe'. Start that app. For the version, select the 'latest' or this won't work.

3) Name your LoRA (mine was Yoko Littner) and then select Wan 2.1 for the type of LoRA/model. Then hit 'create dataset'.

4) Add your dataset by clicking the button, navigating to your folder on your file explorer and highlight all items. They will upload so it may take a moment if you have a lot of videos. You can add up to 2000 images/videos before it won't work. If the bar is moving it works. It may take 30m to upload 2000 videos/pics. 'Save dataset' and continue.

4) Scroll down and select 'model directory' and hit the arrow on Wan, then select 'T2V' or 'I2V' depending on if you are doing a text to video or a Image 2 video model. Right click it and select 'copy full path'. Now under 'models configuration' you will paste that path.

5) For me I do up to 50 epochs in the next section, saving every 5 epochs. Each epoch will save a 300mb file so maybe you will want to save only every 10 epochs. Just don't fill up your virtual storage like a dumb-dumb or you won't be able to save. You can delete files later.

Most things will be done in 30 epochs or so. For me, 20-40 images will take just 25 minutes or less to train on 40-50 epochs and that means it costs about $0.50. Larger files can take hours.

6) Hit 'start training'. Files will be generated as epochs finish and save, but you can wait until the end.

7) If the timer is still running, you can go to 'output' and grab your file. If the timer has finished running and the virtual PC has closed, you can still access your files through your 'apps' and go to 'output' to download your LoRA.

Easy peasy! Let me know if you have any questions. Bye-bye have a nice day!
