So to provide you dear reader with a breakdown of the Illustrious Checkpoints I'm going to step through them using the exact same prompt and settings. The only LoRA I'll use with each of the checkpoints will be Lulu (aka lulu_prime).

Onto the Show

For this article I'll be posting two images from each Illustrious Checkpoint without any Hi-Res fixes or adjustments. I'll give my personal rating of ⭐, ⭐⭐ or ⭐⭐⭐ based on the results and how likely would I use that model based simply off the two images produced. If I encounter a two star model that I'm particularly interested in exploring further I'll add a plus sign (i.e. ⭐⭐+) Where applicable I'll add in any personal thoughts or opinions on the Checkpoint.

I've had some good results from the model in the past, but with these tests I feel like the image really suffers from long spindly limbs and tiny ankle issue that has plagued some of the other models.

Turned off by how the outfit varied between the images

One thing this test has shown me is that I shouldn't avoid the 'furry' models like I have in the past. It does seem like some of them could churn out some good images. I do like how Lulu turned out in these test images.

46: Jib Mix Illustrious Realistic ⭐

I do like the general look of the characters, but I feel like I keep seeing 'little things' that make me want to just keep moving onto the next model.

47: Pie - Models 🥧 ⭐⭐+

I have dabbled with this model in the past. While I don't feel these images are the best representation (more dainty ankles) I'm willing to try it out on some other projects in the future.

48: Smooth Mix (Illustrious2 + NoobAI) ⭐⭐

49: IllustriousNXT_XL by klaabu ⭐⭐+

50: Vixon’s NSFW Milk Factory ⭐⭐

51: Dutch ⭐⭐+

Yet another model I've enjoyed playing with in the past, but I don't feel like these test images are a good representation of it's capabilities. I'll need to try some more.

52: Astraali_DemonCore ⭐⭐

I so want to love Astraali_DemonCore, but I feel like it's been a bit hit or miss for me in the past. Perhaps I just haven't cracked the formula yet for it.

53: Artofura | Furry mix - Illustrious++ ⭐

54: Azure & Crimson Mix ⭐⭐

55: CelestReal - Anime / semi-reality fusion ⭐⭐

I feel like the oversized eyes can be a bit of a blessing or a curse depending on the look you're going for.

56: iLustRealism ⭐⭐++

I've done a lot in the past with iLustMix and like the semi-realistic look of these images. Definitely one to play around a bit more with.

57: CyberRealistic CyberIllustrious Catalyst ⭐⭐++

One common aspect of the realistic models I tend to dislike is how Lulu's hair looks. I think this model did a great job of not making it flat or stringy. It would be great to test it out some more with some hair focused images.

58: AniMayhem - Pale Rider ⭐⭐++

I don't think I've used it before, but now I feel like I could test it out some more.
