After reading today’s announcement from the Civitai team about their new Buzz policy changes, I’m still furious. As everyone here already knows, this is complete f**king nonsense.

The vast majority of users have been freely creating both SFW and NSFW images using Blue Buzz,
and now they’re saying we have to use Yellow Buzz just to make what they call “obscene” images?

Do they really think the average user — the same ones who’ve been wandering through bounties, begging for Buzz,
and watching checkpoint auction prices skyrocket out of reach —
will suddenly start pulling out their credit cards to buy Yellow Buzz just to generate images?
Not a chance.

The only reason Civitai gained users in the first place was because of its freedom —
the ability to create anything and be part of a community that thrived on it.
And now, today, the admins have effectively signed the site’s death sentence.

I was so dumbfounded by how ridiculous this policy was that I just sat there for several minutes wondering if this was real.

For users without local-generation tools like ComfyUI, image generation is now impossible.
And for NSFW creators — The policy castrated the NSFW creators’ creativity.

They’ve even left censorship up to a black-box algorithm,
so if the AI detects the slightest bit of skin, it instantly slaps an R rating on it.
Who’s going to waste their precious Yellow Buzz to make art under those conditions?

Why not just go all the way — like the fanatical extremists in IS or Taliban —
and have black out every bit of exposed skin with a marker,
or automatically slap a burqa on every woman it generates?

After today’s announcement, my frustration and disappointment with Civitai have only grown.
I see no chance for this site to recover, and no reason to stay here any longer.
I’m packing my things and moving on.

Maybe some of you who saw the announcement feel the same way, maybe you don’t.
But one thing’s certain — since Civitai has decided to commit suicide,
you’d better start finding another platform or learn how to use your own AI image generation tools.
