Blatant disrespect for your community
1- You didn't gave official warnings or heads up about this change.
Blue buzz gained through watching ads, reactions and following users lost 90% of its value overnight. (While it's not money spent, it's time and effort)
Paid buzz acquired through memberships perks also lost its value. Now it's useless for what the perk purchase was intended for.
Creators gains are a puzzled shitshow now, not really knowing how are they gaining valuable buzz.
You changed suddenly from giving free amount of buzz for free users to your mods saying "if a pic is rated PG13+ by the system you have to pay cause it uses computational power from CIVITAI servers, even if you didn't intend to create NSFW content".
You haven't apologized about making changes without warning. Destroying al trust civitai community had on this project and creating a sensation of fear both for paid and free users who now know they can be f up overnight. This lack of remorse makes us conclude that you will probably do it again.
NO, GitHub it's not an official channel to deliver information about the site; users are using civitai.com not a external site to search for information. Also it's not properly stated anywhere. Discord is a proper channel cause is stated everywhere that valuable information can be delivered there.
"Fixing" the update
People want to make NSFW content. No one is ashamed for it. Completely paywalling NSFW content just gonna make people abandon the site.
Using the blue buzz only if u have membership is charging people who gained that buzz through membership perks, twice; since when bought was intended to work without the active membership.
PG and PG13 with blue buzz; your rating system sucks. You implemented a tool that automatically detects NSFW prompts, making the user fix it until it changes the "GENERATE" button to blue, meaning is SFW. But if the picture turns up to be NSFW, even if was not intentional, your making the user pay for your system mistake (WTF); the blue buzz is deducted and you get a NSFW content THAT U DON'T WANT. So no, swapping for the yellow buzz in order to unblock it's not an logical or fair option.
A good alternative would be that if the prompt was marked as SFW by the system, the unintentionally generated NSFW picture could be erased and the blue buzz returned.
Disgusting behavior from Discord Mods
Dozens of people have being silenced just by stating facts; Yes you might argue that they aren't using the proper channels but CivitaiHelp channel it's the only one where they know their complaints gonna be seen by a staff member. In the context of this company making the worst mistake in years people want to vent, get explanations and give alternatives.
Your mods have allowed many "contributors", that agreed with your update as blind sheep, to shame and bully your whole community just because they were supporting Mod's and Civitai's point of view.
The overall experience have been dismissive and offensive in many cases.
