Several days ago, Civitai announced alarming policy changes that betray the trust of the community they once relied on. It is disappointing — and unacceptable — that community stewards, tempted by their own ambitions, would sacrifice the very users who built the platform.

Before accepting corporate platitudes like “we're working hard” or “visa and compliance costs are killing our wallets,” let’s be clear: the first and most effective action we can take is to exercise our consumer power. Do not buy buzz. Do not renew memberships. Do not fund the platform until they restore what they have to be.

If they claim their wallets are bleeding, we can respond by refusing to fill them. Join us in a coordinated boycott and demand concrete changes: reversal or clarification of the harmful policies, a public explanation, a transparent refund policy, and a community-led oversight process.
