Welp, this sucks
As you can guess by my name, I pretty much only use this site for nsfw generations, and since you're following me I can guess you do too. If you haven't read the recent update, nsfw generation is now yellow buzz only (meaning you HAVE to pay to generate nsfw). I have always had the opinion that while civit is indeed home to a lot of sfw models, a large portion of it's userbase is nsfw focused (whether the moderation cares to admit it or not), so this change makes near no sense to me.
The future of Civit for nsfw does look pretty bleak, as this is only the beginning. There are a few routes that this can take, but none are good in my eyes.
1. Civit bans the posting of anything nsfw (R, X, & XXX) but allows nsfw generation. While this sucks for people who want to show off their generations, this is probably the best case scenario if nsfw generation would ever be free again.
2. Civit bans nsfw content on the site all together. This is obviously this would be the worst case scenario, though I don't think even Civit would resort to this. If Civit is already not making enough revenue to keep the site up, then this would take out a hefty part of that.
Edit regarding blue buzz update
The fact that they had to roll out an update this soon is proof enough that nsfw users make up enough of a userbase to make a difference to them. However, DO NOT FALTER. You should NOT have to pay $33 USD ma month for a feature that you could use literally 2 days ago. Keep posting articles, don't buy buzz, and don't buy memberships. A steady hand is a strong one.
What can you do to help?
Simple really, hit their wallets. Don't buy buzz or memberships, and use alternative sites. There are plenty of other sites out there that allow nsfw generation and allow you to remain free (and for some reason, they don't seem to have any issues with process payments. I wonder why that is 🤔). If we're lucky, Civit will hear our pleas and revert the change. If not, you have a backup.

Tensor.art - Pretty much the closest you can get to civit. Does allow free nsfw generation, but there is a daily limit of credits and you can't post nsfw.
Pixai.art - Used to use this a few years ago, but swapped over to civit when the allowed on site generation. Allows free generation with a daily allotment of credits. Also has slow generation times :/
Perchance - May not be the greatest out there, but it gets the job done. Completely free and seems to be decently fast.
Telegram bots (@ErisReserveBot, @ErisTheBot, @makefoxbot) - These are a bit furry focused, but that doesn't mean you can't generate anime style images with them. Also completely free with fast generation times, though you can only generate one image at a time.
Novelai - This one is more of an honorable mention then anything, as novelai is not free (Though the first 30 generations are free. Proxies and temp emails do not work, so it's pretty much 30 free generations per account.) I myself consider this to be the best image generator available at the moment if you can't generate locally, which brings me to the next part.
Generating Locally - If you have a desktop with some decent vram (i.e, if you have a gaming setup), you can generate locally on you computer for free. Search online for guides to install and use. (Thank you to users @aliasdoe87654 and @Das_ai for the links)
