And civitai INSISTS this article is rated R, probably because I cursed once, and man, I'm sorry, but somebody hasn't turned their TV on the last 40 years.
So first, I got ten loras out! Some of you might laugh, especially the ones who've got like 70+ (and I know even that much is just a typical week for some), but I never thought I'd do more than 3 tops. I don't kid myself that I'm GOOD at them, but I like to think I'm getting marginally better. Course, the samples make a big difference don't they?
My lora release plans haven't changed tremendously since this article:
I will surely do more in the short term since the site buzz changes. The blue buzz is, well, gimped, and may not even make it to 2026 here, so may as well use it for loras. If they do away with that or change it, then, phew, that'll affect it obviously, but let's play it out.
I love genning SFW stuff too, don't get me wrong, when I have an urge for adult I have an urge for adult, so my ideal gen/posting is like half and half, (and I don't count bikinis). But even on freemium right now (and I'll buy a membership again if they make headway with processors and Kinguin), I'm getting enough blue buzz to handle my SFW gens, if I stockpile for about a week, enough for a lora at these current prices. My yellow buzz is not great, but will last me the rest of the year if I'm careful (which I will try to be), I figure 100 odd yellow will usually cover lora posts, cuz I feel like people are more likely to try a lora (especially of a NSFW) if you show them how once. Never understood people not sharing ANY prompts even on one sample, unless they think it'll get 'em more buzz with people flailing at it.
ANYWAY:
I've thought of a few new loras, oh, and I am DEFINITELY going to do a Yukiko Tachibana Nikuhisyo Yukiko lora. I gotta, especially since somebody requested it and I've been having good luck with these sort (and its probably the closest to a "mainstream" lora). There's one out there for pony, but I'll do one for ILLU. I just gotta be picky about my samples, there is an awful lot of her out there. That one'll be an extra effort thing.
I also think I'm going to do the Grimms Fairy Tale Classics (an anime) version of the Evil Queen from Snow White next, for example. There's more than a couple versions of the classic Disney and then some out there (and of course, I love that stuff), but I like what I like and I enjoy different takes. I'm also thinking of Female Demon from Demon City Shinjuku. Besides my OCs you've seen so far, I thought of a few others of mine might be fun to do, the art of them came out great in sora. Might be worth it just to get a sort of art style out, I am not an expert on these matters, but one cheat I do is I throw in one of my Misaki Yukihiro loras in at low strength when I want a manga style. One of these days I'll do a writeup on OCs, but I feel like if people really want to know, they'll read my post writings or click over to my deviantart or archiveofourown and read the fic if its out, or just ask!
I write the fics and materials when I've got the energy, but my time isn't often my own (more on that in a minute), so while I myself know the characters, putting that out in a format where you can read it is the trick.
So's, I'm not really unhappy with any of my loras yet (some could be better for sure), then again, I got low standards and I'm easy, wife joke which she's stolen from me once or twice, so I feel like I'm allowed to make it. I think the black and white manga loras definitely come out with less issues, possibly due to the nature of color/anime cels, etc. I know I could get more buzz with "mainstream" stuff, but I just don't see the point. I'd much rather fork over $20 when the day comes when thats viable again. It's like when I write a fanfic. If the character I'm writing happens to have a medium sized fanbase, great, but I don't see the point at all in putting stuff out that's already been done.
Same with AI and loras for the most part. So I'm going to stick with "obscure" stuff in the short term.
Other stuff, other stuff. Ok, brief rant. People taking their balls and going home with their loras, I'm seeing ALOT of "Removed by owner" these days. I don't get it. If civitai takes you down, ok, but what's different now from three months ago, functionally? Did you put in the work and share it for people to use? Then let 'em use them fer christs sakes. I don't love the moves civitai has been making for the last checks watch year or so, but I don't kid myself they're making any money off me when you factor in costs. My view on AI has been the same as my view on conventional art. If it puts out more material of underappreciated characters or gives you ideas, then its good. Maybe people think they're making some kinda point doing it, but I just see it as AI artists being as full of themselves as any conventional artist ever was. I been watching people do that kinda shit on the internet since I was one of these handsome faceless college boys I like to throw in with my AI milfs, and believe me, that was awhile ago. You can do what you want to do, its a meaningless universe after all, but that said, it looks how it looks. It literally takes ya more effort to take your own stuff down than to just leave it up and go have a Snickers. Don't be one of these guys showing off your Mugen characters on youtube and then not letting the rest of us play with them. Flashbacks to kindergarten and those mint in box Voltron figures man. Maybe its a snaps fingers sophomoric, yeah, thats a good one for Scrabble, a sophomoric take I'm sharing, but hey, its a sophomoric subject.
Lessee, what else. This is just a "vibe", prediction, what have, but I think AI is going to loosen up some, at least until 2026. I think because we're in the 4th quarter and everybody's talking about AI bubbles and OpenAI and other outfits are not making money, they might be looking at some numbers and thinking, gee, maybe we SHOULD let these horndogs at least gen the odd bikini. I came over from Leonardo, which was famously restrictive even on paid, so that's like my metric, my minimum. Can we gen a bikini. Breasts would be nice, considering classic art, but we live in a timeline right now where Reverend Lovejoy's wife is in charge of everything, so victory in small movements as they say. I also think the spotlight is getting shined on these credit card processors mucking where they shouldn't be, so hopefully the backlash grows.
As for me, I'm not a spring chicken and I've got all kinds of things going on before you even get to my social life. If I won the lotto tomorrow, didn't jetset, and spent the rest of my days writing and gaming, I still probably wouldn't do half the stuff I WANT to do. So, my output is going to be what its been, since beginning of September, work and life have been pounding me flat, and hey, that's going to happen. Way things are going, I figure I'll put out 2-4 lora a month. Maybe more. I'm keeping up dailies over here because it may not sound like alot, but for the purposes of loras that lets call it 250 blue buzz and whatever residuals I get (not much, but a free gen is a free gen) adds up.
