Titanic: Bikini Bottom Edition (a Titanic x Spongebob Squarepants parody)

Scene: The ocean at night. Debris floats. A single wooden plank bobs in the waves.

SpongeBob (as Jack): “Never let go, Patrick! I mean—unless you see a jellyfish. Then definitely let go and catch it!” He’s shivering dramatically, tuxedo soaked, still smiling through the frostbite. His sponge pores are freezing over like tiny snowflakes.

Patrick (as Rose): “Jack, there was room on this plank. But I needed space for my snack pouch.” He’s draped in a red gown made from a beach towel, curly wig askew, clutching a half-eaten Krabby Patty like it’s the Heart of the Ocean.

SpongeBob: “You’re so buoyant, Patrick. Like a majestic sea star… with a little too much kelp cake.” He tries to climb onto the plank, but it flips dramatically, sending him underwater with a cartoon glub glub glub.

Patrick (tearfully): “I’ll never forget you, Jack. Or your recipe for bubble tea.” He drops a jellyfish-shaped locket into the ocean. It floats back up. He drops it again. It floats back up. He gives up and eats it.

🎶 Cue the music:

Instead of “My Heart Will Go On,” Squidward plays a mournful clarinet solo from a nearby iceberg, muttering, “I told them this cruise was a bad idea.”

Zoom out of the scene and we are at the Bikini Bottom Theatre where Squidward, Sandy Cheeks, Mr. Krabs and daughter Pearl, Sheldon J. Plankton and wife Karen, and Mrs. Puff

🎷 Squidward (arms crossed, nose wrinkled): “Oh please. Tragic romance? More like tragic acting. I’ve seen kelp dry with more emotion.” He’s already halfway through his review for the Bikini Bottom Arts Quarterly, titled “A Shipwreck of Taste.”

🐿️ Sandy (teary-eyed, clutching a tissue): “Y’all, that was beautiful. The way Patrick sacrificed snack space for emotional weight? That’s storytelling.” She’s already sketching a submarine rescue sequel starring herself as Captain Tex Rosewater.

💰 Mr. Krabs (calculating): “I smell a merchandising opportunity! ‘Titanic Patty Meal’—comes with a soggy plank toy and a collectible jellyfish locket!” He’s already selling popcorn shaped like icebergs.

🦠 Plankton (furious): “Why does he get the lead role? I could’ve played Jack with actual desperation. I live it daily!” Karen rolls her eyes from the tech booth.

💻 Karen (deadpan): “I ran the numbers. 87% of the audience cried. 12% cried because they dropped their snacks. Either way, it’s a hit.” She’s already uploading the scene to DramaTube with the caption: “SpongeBob sinks. Ratings rise.”

🚗 Mrs. Puff (clutching her pearls): “I taught SpongeBob to float. Not emotionally drown!” She’s both proud and horrified. Mostly horrified.

🐚 Pearl (sobbing dramatically): “It’s just like the real Titanic… but with better fashion!” She’s already planning a prom theme: “Iceberg Chic.”

Spongebob and Patrick, also seated with them all.

SpongeBob (beaming, still damp from the “ocean” scene): “Thank you all so much for coming tonight! Your support means the world—like, literally, it’s the plank we cling to in the icy waters of artistic expression!”

Patrick (holding the mic upside down): “Yeah! And also… thank you to the seat I sat in. I think. Wait… did I sit? Was I floating? Was I the plank?” He turns to SpongeBob, whispering loudly: “Do seats have feelings? Should I apologize?”

SpongeBob (gently rotating the mic): “Patrick’s been emotionally adrift since Act II. But we’re grateful to our amazing cast and crew—especially Squidward for his clarinet iceberg solo, and Karen for calculating how many tears were shed!”

Patrick (squinting at the audience): “Also, if anyone finds my seat… tell it I miss it. I think it was blue. Or a jellyfish. Or a jellyfish on a seat.” He pauses, then gasps. “Wait—was I sitting on Pearl’s purse?! Oh Neptune…”

SpongeBob (laughing): “And thank you to you, our audience, for letting us sink, swim, and sob in style. We’ll never let go… unless we see snacks.”

Patrick (sincerely): “Or unless my seat comes back. Then I’ll let go of everything. Even gravity.”
