Is LoRAs/Articles by newest way less CPU intense than it was before the latest update?

The recent update on using proper thumbnails seems to have also made the models listing eat way less CPU and now I can browse without CPU (and thus fans) going nuts (which on a gaming CPU with 32 GB of RAM is rather worrying site design). Can anyone else confirm this improved experience? Major reduction in site resource requirements seems the kind of thing that would be mentioned if it was an intentional update (either the thumbnail update itself, or simultaneous changes) but Civitai hasn't exactly been great at documenting changes. Pic unrelated.

(Scrolling far down images feed is still a pig though. Pages when? Also, unfortunately, despite changes to drag and drop, dragging and dropping from generator for a cover image for an article still doesn't work, despite saying so.)
