Generation guide:
1. Get the right checkpoint, most will not work. Currently I'm using Crystal Clear XL. I used ZavyChromaXL before that. I started with old dreamshaper.
2. Prompt is not very important here, but you can add some messy impressionists to it. Example: Art by (Lovis Corinth) and (((Michael Carson))) and Malcolm Liepke and (Greg Rutkowski). Watercolor. Digital painting. It's far from perfect and can be improved. Add stuff like "photorealistic" to negatives. Again, it's secondary. And of course, add your own picture description.
3. Optional: you can get Justin Sweet Style LORA by jorgito78. LORA strenght 0.3 - 0.7.
4. Sampling: DPM++ 2M.
5. Now the most important part. It's mostly an img2img trick. Insert an image with the right color palette, contrast and composition. Get denoising strenght right, usually around 0.6 - this is the key to the tasteful messy effect. As for images provided, you can just use IWD art, speedpaintings, impressionism, moody photos can work.
6. Use resize if necessary, 1.2 - 1.4 or so.
7. Generate 9999+ pictures, make obsessive corrections with inpaint or editing software.
