So there have been some big changes to the Daily Challenge frontend:

Since this new system doesn't seem to have any discussion attached to events anymore, here's at least an article to vent because you don't like things that are different.
My personal thoughts so far: Well, they made Challenges much more a proper distinct "thing", instead of just some kludged together mess of articles and collections. I think it's good, though the lack of discussion threads hurts. The biggest actual feature change is that you can now see a few days ahead, so you can grind your images in advance. But you probably still aren't allowed to publish them before the day of, so it looks pretty halfbaked to be honest.
However, as janky as the old frontend was, the REAL problem with the Daily Challenge wasn't that. It was the terrible backend with heinous ChatGPT judging, and it doesn't seem any of that has changed (apart from CivBot having reverted to his old annoying personality, which is funny now but won't be for long). So while a nicer page is... nicer, I fail to see how having everything a bit more clearly laid out actually makes things better (wow, now you get a nice sidebar table of the prizes that never ever change anyway).
Maybe it's a good change if they actually use that system for more varied types of challenges, but as it is, it's just pretty whatever.
