Got visited by the ToS ban hammer several times over the last few weeks. Dunno if it's human or AI wielded, but it feels pretty human wielded. Every time, it's focused on images from more than a year or two ago, and every time, seemed to focus only on images that are from a single theme, or "run" of images that were similar. Sometimes a few newer images, but most frustratingly, groups of images that have been posted for 1-2 years.
I understand that content moderation needs to be a thing. But it needs to be consistent, and it needs to have an element of correction in it, or else it's just arbitrarily punitive. It'd be great if appeals were more than an arbitrary binary process, and it would be good if slightly more specificity could be used when striking an image, such as pointing to the area of the Terms of Service that justify the ban.
I've seen many other posts by frustrated people, taking their proverbial toys and going home. I'm not a significant enough contributor to this space that it would even make a ripple if I stomped my feet and yelled, but it's still frustrating and demoralizing to deal with what seems to be a mod with a vendetta, and a complete lack of consistency.
What's up with the TOS hammer?
