Featured images, Featured models と Auction｡
Featured imageとしてトップページに並んでる画像みたことありますよね。
私、Civitai始めてから大分立ってから知ったんですけど、あれは、10,000Buzz払って応募して、載せてもらうシステムなんですよね。日本円で言うと約1500円。審査と書いてあったので、応募しても載らないこともあるんでしょうね。最初はコンテスト的なものでcivitaiの中の人が良いと思ったものをランダムに選抜していると思ってたので、お金で載せるものだと知ったときは結構驚きました。(応募してないけれど載ってたという人もいるのでそういう場合もあるのでしょうか。)
※コメントで情報を頂きました。Featured imageについては結構、自由枠というか、応募されたもの以外のピックアップも多いようです。少し安心しました。
Featured modelsというのもトップページにあります。あれは少しシステムが違ってて、毎週開催する（日本時間の金曜日朝9時締め）オークションで決まります。40位まで表示されて上位のほうが表示される頻度が高いようです。(15位くらいに入らないとほとんど表示されない）
ついでにいいますと、各checkpointがオンライン生成を利用できるかもこのオークションで決まります。（現在は1000buzz入札されていればオンラインモデルが生成可能なようです。上限は500。一時は150位で足切りだったので、オンライン生成を利用できるようにするだけで2万Buzzほど必要なこともありました。）。本当はモデルのファンが入札して盛り上がることを期待したのでしょうけど、現状はモデル作者が宣伝やオンライン生成してもらうために入札するものになっています。
※正確には現在オンライン生成の条件は”500位以内にはいり、かつ1000Buzz以上入札されていること”です。現在1000以上入札されているものが500ないので1000バズが足切りになっています。
ここからは私見です。Featured image は、トップページに並ぶだけあって一定効果はあると思います。載ると何千単位でリアクションがつきますし、フォロワーも一気に増えるようです。また、掲載期間中は、他の投稿にも多くのリアクションがつく傾向があるようです。
ただ、本当にその人が作ってるものが好きな人が集まるのかは少し疑問もあります。
オークションは1000バズなら、checkpointのオンライン生成の利用料と考えればそんなに高くないかと思います。2万とか必要ならちょっとあれですけれど。 一方で、Featured modelにのせるためにオークション上位にはいるにはBUZZがかなりかかりますし、一回だけ載せてもどうかなって感じです。回数をかけて宣伝すると効果的ですので、お金もちの人にはおすすめですかね・・ｗ

I only found out after while I started Civitai that it's a system where you pay 10,000 BUZZ to apply and get posted. It said it was subject to review, so I guess it might not be listed even if you apply. I was quite surprised because I thought it was like a contest and the people in civitai selected the ones they thought were good. (Some people say they have been listed even though they didn't apply, so I suppose that's a possibility. im not certain though)
*I received information in the comments,（thx so much). It seems that Featured images has a Buzz-free section, and it seems that many of the selected images were not submitted with BUZZ. That's a bit of a relief for me :)
Featured models are also on the top page. The system is a little different, and the winnings are decided through weekly auctions (closing at 9am on Friday in japan time). Up to 40th place is displayed, and higher lank seem to be displayed more frequently. (Unless you rank around 15th, your model hardly be displayed.)
Incidentally, this auction will also determine whether Checkpoint can be used on online generation. (Currently, it seems that you can let your model be used on online generation if you bid 1000 buzz. The upper limit is 500. At one time, the limit was 150th place, so it sometimes took about 20,000 BUZZ just to generate online.) In reality, they probably hoped that fans of the model would bid and get excited, but the current situation is that model creators bid to advertise or have them generated online.
*To be precise, the current online generation requirements are "being ranked within the top 500 and having received 1000 or more bids." Currently, there are no 500 items with 1000 or more bids, so 1000 bids is the cutoff.
Here's my personal opinion. I think Featured images have a certain effect as they are listed on the top page. it will get thousands of reactions, and the number of followers seems to increase rapidly. (I'm just observing what my acquaintances are posting) It seems that during the period it's posted, other posts tend to get a lot of reactions as well. However, there is some doubt as to whether people who really like the person's work will gather there.
And If it is 1000 buzz, I don't think it's that expensive considering it's the usage fee for checkpoint's online generation. If you need 20,000 Buzz, that's a bit of a problem,
On the other hand, it takes a lot of BUZZ to get it to the top of the auction to put it on the Featured Model, and I don't think it's worth it to post it just once, so I don't think it's recommended. it's for people with much money. haha.
正直、そんなに稼げるものでもないでしょうし、そんなとこで小金とっても、会社の商売的な観点でも、上手いやり方ではないと思いますけどね。（オークションによってオンライン生成の枠を決めるシステムは段階的に廃止する方針だそうです。）they seems to phase out the system that determines slots for online generation through auctions.
※自分で利用したことはないので細部で間違いがあるかもしれません。それと、言うまでもないですが、そういうシステムがある以上、利用することになんの問題もないと思います。
