Today I was contacted by another user who informed me that some of my artwork appeared on Patreon behind a paywall.
At first I thought it must be a misunderstanding.
We all use similar models, similar LoRAs, similar prompts sometimes.
But after looking at the screenshots, there was no doubt.
It was my image.
Created by me months ago.
Posted by me on Civitai.
And now uploaded somewhere else, cropped and locked behind paid content.
That made me angry.
Not because of the money.
Because I never asked for money for my work.
I never locked my images.
I never forced anyone to pay.
If someone asked me for help, I helped.
If someone liked my work, that was enough for me.
And then someone takes that work, uploads it somewhere else, and tries to make profit from it without even asking.
That’s not inspiration.
That’s not sharing.
That’s not what this community was built for.
That’s just disrespect.
I have already submitted a copyright claim and I will let Patreon handle the rest.
This post is not here to start drama.
It is here because I think creators should know that this still happens.
We spend hours generating, fixing, retrying, learning, improving.
Not because we have to.
Because we love creating.
Seeing that work taken and sold by someone else feels like someone just grabbed your time, your effort, and your passion — and decided it belongs to them.
AI art may live in a grey area sometimes.
But basic respect should not be grey.
If you like someone’s work — support them.
If you want to learn — learn.
If you want to use something — ask.
But don’t take what isn’t yours just to make money from it.
Because that is not the price of creativity.
That is the cost of disrespect.

Wenn jemand meine Bilder mochte, hat mir das gereicht.
Und dann kommt jemand, nimmt diese Arbeit, lädt sie woanders hoch und versucht damit Geld zu verdienen, ohne auch nur zu fragen.
Das ist keine Inspiration.
Das ist kein Teilen.
Das ist nicht das, wofür diese Community einmal stand.
Das ist einfach respektlos.

Ich schreibe ihn, weil ich finde, dass Creator wissen sollten, dass so etwas immer noch passiert.

Piszę go, bo twórcy powinni wiedzieć, że takie rzeczy nadal się zdarzają.
