Guys I am very [smart and well educated] but I still wanna post what I used to make!

I now have a PC that can probably kinda run AI stuff but, I have no idea how to do anything AI locally at all and I’m not sure of my hardware is anywhere near good enough either.

I managed to duct tape a 5800X, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and a 3070Ti together and I don’t know what it’s capable of or how to install any of the stuff needed to run funny haha image generation.

Can I do anything with this hardware?

I was getting everything built properly before I realised that this thing is HUGE, so I’m going to need to find a workaround for actually being able to use this thing in a safe spot that isn’t in the middle of the living room for the whole house to see. (I can’t show what I generate in there!!)

I probably should have done any size research at all before getting literally the cheapest parts to put between my CPU and GPU, so I’m going to look around for MATX or ITX parts before I start going all in, but I can make some cute SFW stuff while I figure that out with the on-site generator in the meantime.

Well, I apparently I got totally boned with my SSD.

I was enjoying using my PC, playing some games and trying out emulation until my PC started to freak out and not behave at all, eventually just not booting, so I guess a used SSD wasn’t a good idea which super sucks because I’ve had it too long to claim anything on it and now that SSDs are expensive for some reason, I gotta save up to buy a new one.

I’m just gotta see if I can get a SATA one or something, they used to be cheap but idk anymore, my hours got slashed so I gotta be financially sensible for a while.
