So I started out making lora as a hobby
Totally not out of any ulterior motives of course of course
I never planned to get this far as a creator, at first, i only use civitai as a medium to store my loras, and if anyone find my lora helpful, then good for them.
WHY I ONLY MAKE ILLUSTRIOUS LORAS?
Look, i KNOW that there are NOOBAI, and ANIMA, and PONY and like, any model. HOWEVER, I choose illus for reasons:
I started out with PONY and think that PONY tagging system is BULLSHIT. It's not applicable to any other lora. And it also means if you train lora on PONY, you would have to put a score on how the image look like, which i think its bullshit in itself.
After illustrious, later checkpoint might have better generation quality, i cant confirm. i haven't use NOOBAI, or ANIMA. but from my personal testing, some noobai lora work well on illustrious, and beside, after illustrious, it really couldn't get any better than this, really. When there are multiple equally good options but one has more resources people are obviously gonna choose the one with more resources. Same analogy is when there are many ai companies but ppl choose chat gpt because it was the first one.
I heard that FLUX is like, crazy good, however, it take like 20 gb to install this. With that amount of storage, i could install 3 different illustrious checkpoint. Although FLUX has better adaptation (At least from what I heard), but when are you going to need really precise generations, other than generating real people faces?
ZImageTurbo... I have not tried it, but from what I heard... again, it is the newest tech and stuff, and so it has the best image generation, but ppl only use it for real life stuff, so im not so sure if it better.
WANVIDEO. Man. I REALLY WANT TO TRY THIS OUT!!! Unfortunately,... my pc CANT handle wan, plus, WAN workflow is TOO COMPLICATED for my simpleton brain to understand. AND... wan is BEST as an img2vid model. The only way i could run wan is to upload the image to the website. and heres the thing: I DO NOT TRUST THIS WEBSITE?!?!? I generate like 200 images but I only upload like 6 - 7 images per lora showcase for a reason!!!! I think people knows this as well but this website has TERRIBLE CENSORSHIP PROBLEM.
Speaking of Uploading IMAGES: I could've dumped ALL OF MY IMAGE GENS on rule 34, but I CANT, because it only allows you to upload one at a time!!!
Anyways I Will still continue to upload whatever whenever because I do not get paid for anything. I STILL ACCEPTING REQUEST!!!! Because lets be real: REAL LIFE SUCKS. At least doing REQUESTS give me the illusion of ME being IMPORTANT. but if theres any important stuff IRL that need me, then I'll shift priorities!!!! That just HOW I WORK.
