You know it's interesting, sometimes the hardest part of the article is deciding what to title it. At times so many feelings come up, and the ideas fit here, they fit there, they kinda fit, and sometimes they don't fit at all, but wow do you still like the idea anyways.
I had debated for a while now the following title ideas for this article.
Artistic Echoes: Perception Versus Reality
Hidden Harmonies: Decoding Viewer Desire
Silent Consensus: Where Data Meets Aesthetics
Fractured Perspectives: Truth Behind Engagement
Sorting Secrets: Myth of Universal Appeal
Metric Magic: Unmasking Digital Taste
Gallery Glitch: Why Numbers Lie About Beauty
Filter Flip: Reimagining Creative Success
(Most of these were AI ideas (actually all were), but shhhh π€«....that stays between you and me...right? π€ π€) (RIGHT????) (OH GOD YOU WILL PROBABLY TELL EVERYONE....OH THE SHAME.)
But after much deliberation and introspection (had to be at least three and a half minutes if it was a second) I decided on what you saw before you clicked on this article.
Why do I tell you my title woes?
Because honestly it really highlights the thought process we all put into our images. If you are anything like me, you may have created an image and you look at it and say:

You think to yourself: "That is really good. Everyone will love that!!! I know it. I mean come on, how can they not. It's amazing. It's fantastic. You know...it may even be award winning"...π€π€.
However, some of your other images, when finished, you look at them and you do not feel the same way about them. But...you find that you still like them, at least enough that you wanted to share them here on this site. In your eyes they clearly do not have the same quality as your others.
What inevitably ends up happening is that sometimes you are right; everyone liked it just like you thought they would, and other times you are left scratching your head wondering is the website broken? Does no one see how stunning and amazing this is? (Come on...admit it...you know it's crossed your mind too.) Or you think, really, that is the image everyone loved? Did they not see this one?
But this is where it gets interesting...we don't all think the same. I KNOW...SHOCKING!! π€―
It blew my mind too.
There will always be things we share in common, the majority of humans are right handed (I am left handedπ). Majority of humans on earth are women (I am a male π). Majority of humans have hair (π this is my third strike in my own article...I am bald as a cue ball π) But you get the idea. We will share some things in common with each other, including what we may like or not.
But have you ever come across someone else's image and thought to yourself: "MY GOD...THAT IS THE BEST IMAGE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!! HOW HAVE PEOPLE NOT DESTROYED THEIR KEYBOARDS POUNDING THE LIKE BUTTON ON THIS???"
It's true isn't it? Did you know that the same could be said for your images?
Oh come on Render, what are you talking about...It is clear as day what people like on my images page and what they do not.
Really Dear Reader? Really?
(Coughs and cracks knuckles...hands beer to friend with statement: "Hold this.")
I want you to go to your images...I want you to choose the filter option and choose "Most Reactions". Yup, you're right, it is obvious. But wait...there is more. Now choose "Most Collected". I bet it's different. Now choose "Most Comments". The odds are, you got 2 or even 3 different results.
I know I did. I truly thought that the most collected and the most commented would have to be also the most reactions. I mean how can you have a ton of reactions, but have something else take the top spots in the other filters? It honestly doesn't make sense.
But...Here are my results. I found that is not the case.
Mine were all different for those top #1 spots on each of those filters.
Most Reactions: https://civitai.com/images/126434477

Most Collected: https://civitai.com/images/94460121

Most Comments: https://civitai.com/images/121838346

But that is what I am getting at. We think we have a handle on what others like. We think we are in harmony with the CIVITAI universe and those in it. But then...something or someone comes along and pops that balloon, fracturing the perspective we had on that.
This is certainly not a complaint, but rather I feel that this is a blessing. I am honestly quite pleased that not everyone is the same. To me this shows me that I am not alone in how I think. Just as I have found that single image that I found something wonderful beyond compare, and I wonder how no one else knows about it or has shown it mad love, others likely may have felt that way about one of my images, or one of your images and neither of us knew that. Yes it's true. I know someone feels that way about one of yours.
Render, you think oddly...
Yes I know...Blame it on being a bald, left handed man, in a right handed, Non-Follically challenged woman dominated world...ππ€·π»ββοΈ
So, what brought this up?
An artist that I came across the other day had an image that when I saw it, was like a slap in the face (the good kind, not the bad kind). I had to just stop, and I felt the need to linger over it. For some reason it just resonated with me in a manner I did not know I needed to see. Maybe it was the color spectrum. Maybe it was subject matter. Maybe the composition of it. Maybe it was all of those. I honestly do not know. But what I do know is that it stopped me in my tracks and made me wonder, how did this not go viral?
I know, you may not feel the same way as I do about it when you see it. After all, we are all different. We will have different likes, we will have different desires, we will have different tastes in art. But...some will feel the same way as I did. If that is the case, please go give this artist (and yes I mean literally this person was an artist (read their blurb on their profile page)) some love on this image.
The Artist is @Sleeps_In_Sunbeams

The image I was referring to is this:

It can be found here: https://civitai.com/images/125953151
I liked it so much I added it to my collection: https://civitai.com/collections/15425677
@Sleeps_In_Sunbeams I meant what I said. I found it phenomenal.
Why am I doing this?
Because I found something of value that I want others to see too.
When I saw the image, I sat back and thought about things.
This is what prompted me to then turn around and look at what was it was that people liked regarding my images. Were they all the same? Would they be different? Only time would tell, and did it tell me. Diversity is the spice of life.
Tell me dear reader, what did you find when you checked your filters on your images?
What image did you come across (from someone else) that you felt deserved love and it did not get it?
Please post it here in the comments so others can see it, but please only post links to the images that are SFW in the comments. I do not want to get flagged on this article. I have it at a PG and want to keep it that way.
And thank you for reading what I hope came across as a Humorous but still Serious Musing.
