Regarding Inconsistent Feeds

So there is an official update now about the problems with the image feed and unpublished images. First I want to say I appreciate that there is an official announcement, even if this could have been made earlier.
In this announcement an explanation is provided why these problems arise. As much as I understand, the civitai image feed is run on two different instances of the underlying system. These two instances are not (always) synchronized, so previously if you reloaded a page (e.g. newest images) it could happen you are redirected to the other instance and thus see different images. So the "solution" provided in this commit is to just limit a user to one of the two instances, thus reloading does not show different images now (apart from new added images).
I am not sure if this is already working, but looking at the general image feed and reloading I do not see completely different images. On the image page on my profile I still have different images with "not published" icon when I reload it.
Anyway I am not considering this a fix, it's merely a cosmetic change. The underlying problem that different users are seeing different images is not solved and the reduced visibility of images may even be worsened since you can't just reload and see the images you were missing.
It's also stated that the developers are working on a long term fix to have a better and more stable feed. However it sounds like this is not gonna land tomorrow or next week.
So it seems like we have to deal with this some time longer.
I hope and appeal to the developers that this is gonna be a priority before implementing a bunch of new features, as much as I appreciate early support for new models and stuff.
Not fixing the problems first is gonna make more and more users quit, at least that is what I think.
If you want to speak your mind, leave a comment, but please stay civil.

Musing: Did you know training with kohya/sd-scripts on civitai just got more expensive?
