The Guardians of Censorship

On Civitai, there are guardians, people like us—in short, each of us—who report inappropriate images. If an image gets past the automatic block, anyone can report it.

Why am I mentioning this?

There are guardians who report a lot, but the surprising thing is that they have a high success rate, which suggests they have an important decision on the site, and that what they report is given more consideration. The site reports the last 30 days, 3K, which means 100 images or videos per day.

Each of us has been reported or blocked at least once.

I've seen many of my images automatically blocked; sometimes it was the right thing to do, other times it wasn't. But if someone reports you and then blocks you, you have little to complain about. At this point, we block the guardians. They're well-known people, because Civitai has decided to reward them, rather than making them anonymous. Anonymous reports happen on every reputable site; no one receives an award or a mention.

Now I block guardians, especially those with their names written in a different color. I think I'm right, because I feel more confident publishing content.

They're creating two systems

A subscription with yellow Buzzes, which is obtained with cryptocurrencies, with unlimited access, and one with green Buzzes, which gives you access only to PG and PG13 content, with the option to pay with more traditional methods, but without exclusive privileges, without the ability to post exclusive images other than (.red).

New labels need to be created in addition to PG, PG13, and R+, which include families and minors that are exclusive to the site (.com). If I have to buy a package of green Buzzes, I must be able to create exclusive content, without violating the rules or the law.

Let's think about it.

Let's not leave this discussion vague. We're a community. On Grok, ChatGPT, and Gemini, you don't matter. You pay and you get a service. If you do something wrong, they immediately tell you you can't. Things can be more flexible here, but without open and civil dialogue, we end up accepting that if they block you, it's fair, and that Civitai is a service like any other; you pay for a service. Think about it now and comment here.
