As a reaction to the critics(?) on allowing ai agents on civitai, the devs have now introduced post rate limits:
https://github.com/civitai/civitai/pull/2577
https://github.com/civitai/civitai/commit/fbc82d6a108a1462635050b428bc41566ebe7ae3
"Post rate limits: post creation was never throttled. Add postRateLimits and apply to post.create / post.createWithImages. New accounts (<24h) capped at 2/hour; 20/day base, scaling to 60 (score >=1000) and 150 (score >=5000). Moderators and dev/test are exempt. Clear user-facing messages on the limit."
Seems like noone thought about this could be abused before (claiming in the article above that employing an agent was possible before). I guess these limits only apply to posts over api , i.e. done by agents, or do they?
And does anyone know what "score" is? Is that the Creator Score?
Also they changed section 11.4 of the TOS now reading:
"11.4 access, search, or otherwise use any portion of the Service through the use of any engine, software, tool, agent, device, or mechanism (including spiders, robots, crawlers, and data mining tools), except (a) through interfaces we expressly provide for automated access, such as our public API or official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, in each case accessed with your own valid credentials and within any applicable rate limits, (b) the software or search agents provided by Civitai, or (c) as we otherwise authorize in writing. You remain fully responsible for all activity conducted through such authorized access as if you performed it manually, and authorized access does not permit any conduct otherwise prohibited by these Terms (including the activities described in Section 11.9);"
In the commit it is stated that this is done due to concerns of moderators about agents posting content. Funny enough this reads to me like a reaction to my comment on that article about MCP and to the comments of some other users.
