So this is less site news for once and more like (bad) news from europe. Yesterday at about 10 p.m. local time on the sidelines of the Berlin CSD a car crashed into a gathering of people killing one person and injuring 29. The suspect was on the run for several hours, but found and killed by the police after attacking officers today. Investigations about the circumstances are still ongoing, but the suspect seems to be a supporter of Daesh. So this must be considered a terrorist attack on the queer community, on the free society, on all of us.
My thoughts are with the victims, their friends and families and with the people trying to advocate for an open society and to celebrate the queer community.
Also my thoughts are with people in France (Bordeaux) and Spain (Madrid) witnessing the worst wildfires since time immemorial. If you are in the surrounding area of either place, I hope you are safe.
