Challenges?

Are you challenged? CivBot is definitely mentally challenged! 🤣

I've seen a lot of negative feedback on how CivBot is doing the judging on my challenge: https://civitai.red/challenges/423/galena-cat-creations

I'm wondering if there is a correct way to create a challenge?

When creating a challenge you will be presented with this menu

One does not simply create a challenge

I made the theme generic hoping it would allow for any Anime art idea but maybe that resulted in CivBot being too random?

I was thinking the next competition would be "Banana" themed. I'd like to see some fun images similar to this one -> https://civitai.red/images/131057007

So I think if I give the theme a specific goal of "____ Bananas" then the judge will not be so unpredictable.

Surely CivChan will understand the banana theme, right?

Why are there fees?

When you create a challenge the menu says

Your challenge is funded by entry fees — each entry pays the entry fee; 25 Buzz per entry covers AI judging and the rest grows the prize pool.

Easy improvements for Challenges

  1. Add option for the Challenge Creator to pay buzz sponsor the first N number of entries.

  2. Add option for manual judging

    1. Basically everyone hates the AI judges so I guess manual judging would be a nice option. It would cut down on fees but it would mean judging takes more time. Is that worth it?

What do you all think?

It would have been nice to host a weekly Anime challenge, but if its this buggy then... 🤷‍♂️ maybe challenges aren't even worth hosting? 😅

Maybe the real challenge is the friends we made along the way (= ω =)
