A mix of fear and disgust. That's what I feel every time I have to use it. That is, every time I'm uploading something.
It's not the button itself. It's what it does. It's that horrible menu it loads.
I know, I know. I don't generate on-site. And by not generating images on-site, I'm not generating as much value as I could for Civitai. So why should they care?
Because I'm trying to do the right thing. To give credit where credit is due, possibly to inspire others to try the tools I used to create an image or a video. So I aim to be precise, and to specify the exact models found in my workflow.
That is made difficult, and often impossible, by the models filter/database. You might have ran into similar issues with it when looking up a Lora or a Checkpoint, from the very "https://civitai.com/models" page. Yes, there are many to load and display. No, that shouldn't be an issue for a properly managed database.
From invisible filters hiding all models, to the "recent" and "liked" tabs being completely broken, as well as the "Advanced Mode" which never worked once for me...
I know this must be far down the list of priorities for the site, but HOW I long for the day when this menu will load instantaneously and allow me to pick the models I want... One can dream.
