This is my highly professional and meticulously curated introduction. (It’s not.) The name is LolTurdFerguson, but you can call me… TurdFerg, I guess.
Outside of CivitAI, I’m a full-time Graphic Designer and PR Manager, and I’ve only recently started dabbling in local generation and LoRA training (thanks to my friend TrashAI).
My goal with LoRA training is twofold: preserving obsolete media through a sort of tribute by mimicry, and automating design tasks that I absolutely cannot stand doing.
There is also a third, unofficial goal: finding out exactly how niche is too niche for a SFW style LoRA.
So far, I have not found the bottom.
Almost every style I share on my page (and there have been a lot… I’m sorry) has actually been used by me in real design work, whether for print media, digital media, or large format printing. I build these things because I want tools I can genuinely use. Once they work, I pass them along in the hope that someone else might enjoy them, abuse them creatively, or even find them useful.
I’m especially interested in the strange corners of visual culture: obsolete media, forgotten photographic processes, old technology, weird design languages, anything analog, and generally just weird shit.
BTW - I absolutely ADORE seeing everyone's creations in my galleries. Please keep them coming.
