The chain continues. Thanks to the 10K Buzz passed down through the BOUNTYCHAIN tradition, I have the honor of hosting the next round.
This time, the theme is Through Another Era’s Eyes.
What is this about?
Every era has its own idea of what the past looked like, what the present means, and what the future might become.
But those ideas are rarely accurate.
What would the 1990s look like if they had been imagined through the neon-soaked optimism of the 1980s? What would Victorian society have thought the 21st century would look like? What if people from the 1950s tried to imagine social media, smartphones, or modern city life? Or what would the 19th century look like if it were reconstructed entirely through the eyes of people living today?
That collision between two different understandings of the world is what this bounty is about.
There is only one real requirement
Show one era through the eyes of another era.
The second era should influence how the first is understood, imagined, designed, or even misunderstood.
This is not simply about putting a retro filter over a modern image or dressing someone in historical clothing. Think about technology, architecture, fashion, culture, hopes, fears, values, and the limits of what people at that time could have imagined.
Ask yourself:
If people from Era A tried to imagine Era B using only the world they knew, what would they create?
Everything else is yours to decide.
The past can imagine the future. The present can reinvent the past. One historical period can completely misunderstand another. You can be serious, nostalgic, funny, surreal, utopian, dystopian, or completely ridiculous.
Any setting, any culture, any visual style, any model or workflow.
A few examples
An Ancient Roman vision of a modern metropolis.
The internet age as imagined in the 1950s.
The 2020s through the eyes of 1990s cyberpunk.
A medieval interpretation of space exploration.
The Victorian era reconstructed through modern digital culture.
Or an old vision of “the future” depicting a year that has already become our past.
These are only examples. Surprise me.
A few things to keep in mind
I’m looking for an actual interaction between the two eras, not simply a style transfer.
The most interesting entries will make me recognize both periods while also showing how one has transformed the other.
Please follow CivitAI ToS. No XXX content or extreme gore. Up to 5 submissions per participant, with one image per entry.
A short description telling me which era is looking at which is highly recommended.
Judging
Entries will mainly be judged on Creativity (how interesting is the collision between the two eras?), Interpretation (does one era genuinely reshape the other?), Visual Storytelling (does the image communicate an idea or story?), and Overall Impact.
Technical quality matters, but an image that makes me stop and think,
“I never imagined that era this way.”
will probably have my attention.
Prize
The overall winner receives the full 10K Buzz BOUNTYCHAIN prize — and with it, the honor and obligation of hosting the next BOUNTYCHAIN round.
The 10K Buzz must be used in full as the prize for the next BOUNTYCHAIN bounty. The next bounty must remain non-promotional, just for fun, and winner-takes-all. The winner should host the next round within approximately 7 days, copy the BOUNTYCHAIN Agreement, update the round number, link back to this bounty, and add the BOUNTYCHAIN tag.
