Hubs: great concept but complete failure from my perspective

just be aware my ratings for my hub includes PG-XXX and I can't eliminate the extreme XXX pics so you might be subjected to images that you may not like, its not really in my control though

Also if anyone wants to share their hub you can sure do so here. Just leave it in the comments, just remember it should be set to public. If there enough I'll just make a community Hub listing article.

So I wanted to try something different. A HUB? Well it sounded interesting, Ill give it a shot and theme it after fast cars, fast bikes and fast women. I called it 7000 RPM: The Redline Hub.

Initially it seemed alright. However quickly Civitai set into and it started doing weird things. I was getting crayon drawings, cheesy cartoon characters, planes all of just junk I did not at all want in my 'Hub'. All I wanted basically was a nicely car or motorcycle and a girl that looked pretty hot with that car or motorcycle. You'd think that'd be easy right? Well think again.

FIne tuning the 'tag inclusions' and exclusions really did nothing. I was still getting planes, underwater stuff and basically just random junk.

I looked a little closer and figured why Hubs will likely never work here.

So to clarify something it works something like this:

  1. Your only control of what goes in your hub and not in hub is inclusions and exclsions

  2. Tags, certain users and something else (i'd look but I already deleted it)

  3. That provides and endless feed of images being pulled through it

  4. They just show up and its based up on all images that are public

  • If you don't like an image you can hide it but all I found myself doing was scrolling and hiding images, sometimes even hiding users because I'd get 10 of their images

So here's the thing images just simply weren't being tagged properly or even remotely close to what they actually depicted. Take my friends image for example:

Do you see a large breasted woman?

Nope no human or any kind of person in this image.

Take a look at the tags. Nothing even closely resembles what is the image.

And happens in your hub infinitely. You become a mindless zombie hiding the images.

R.I.P. Hubs: Great concept poor execution.

Think I'm just going to start a collection now.
