Prompt Studio 1.19 — Give Your AI Creations a Memory

One click can spark your next idea. Prompt Studio's Surprise me with a prompt gives you an editable starting point; you shape it into your own prompt, create with your chosen generation tool, and keep track of what worked. The idea-starter does not require Ollama.

You made a great image or video. Weeks later, can you still find its prompt, model, LoRAs, seed, and settings — and turn what you learned into your next creation?

Prompt Studio is a local-first Windows companion for people who create with tools such as SwarmUI and ComfyUI. It brings prompt writing and a searchable archive of your own generated media into one workspace. It does not generate images or videos itself.

Works beyond the selected model

Civitai asked me to select one model for this article, so MiniMax H3 appears as the selected model. It is not required to use Prompt Studio, and the app does not include or run it. Prompt Studio is model-independent: you can use it to draft and organize prompts for different image and video models, then adapt the wording and settings to the model and generation tool you choose.

From finished result to next idea

  • Find the recipe. Add your own local image and video folders. Search filenames, readable prompts, models, and folders. Open an image or preview a video, then copy the prompt or settings actually present in its metadata.

  • Keep your best work close. Rate results from 1 to 5 stars and organize them with categories, including your own. Thumbnails can stay hidden until you choose to show them.

  • Learn from comparisons. Put two results side by side to inspect visible differences in prompts and recorded settings. Keep notes about what worked and what you would change.

  • Build the next prompt. Try the editable surprise prompt, a step-by-step prompt coach, style-oriented opening suggestions, negative-prompt suggestions, a personal glossary, and image/video prompt ideas. The director timeline helps draft a video scene over time; frame count and FPS still need to be set in your generation tool.

The archive can only show information that your files actually contain. Missing model or LoRA details are marked as unavailable, not invented.

Local by design

Prompt Studio runs on your Windows computer. You choose the folders it indexes; your personal archive is not included in the download. Core writing, search, and archive features do not require a cloud AI account or Ollama. Optional local AI assistance uses Ollama if you install and configure it separately.

Try it

  1. Follow the download link above and get the clean Windows ZIP from the Prompt Studio 1.19 Tool page.

  2. Extract the entire ZIP to a writable folder. Do not launch it from inside the ZIP.

  3. Run START.cmd. If Node.js 22 or newer is missing, setup can offer a verified portable Node.js download.

  4. Open the local page and add your own media folders. The archive starts empty by design.

Full English and Hungarian guides are in the ZIP. The interface supports eight languages. The separate Workflow Studio application, generation models, custom nodes, and your personal media are not bundled.

Please check the permissions on the Prompt Studio Tool page. Third-party models and any media made with them have their own terms.

I'd love to hear which part of your creative process is hardest to keep track of: finding an old recipe, comparing results, or writing the next prompt?
